25+ years of design, now moving at the speed of AI
Hi, I’m Louie Mangahas. I run Lui Designs from Surprise, Arizona, helping small businesses get creative design work that looks great and doesn’t take forever.
My story
I went to school for animation, but my career took a different turn. My first design job was at a company that did vehicle restyling, signs, and lettering. Working with real customers on real vehicles and storefronts taught me design that has to look good and do a job, and that’s how I became a graphic designer.
In 1999, I started my own business, AZ Auto Graphics. I wanted to sell online, but back then eBay was about the only option, and having your own e-commerce site built was very expensive. So I went back to school to learn business, e-commerce, and web design, from hand-coded HTML to CMS platforms, and built my own store. Design and the web were becoming one thing, and I wanted to offer both.
In 2010, Lui Designs was born. I know what small business owners are going through, because I’ve been there. Running my own business gave me a clear view of what they really need, and I kept seeing the same problem: creative design service that actually fit their budget was hard to find. Lui Designs is my answer to that. Logos, brand identity, websites, and print and sign design, all from someone local who has been doing this for decades.
How design used to work, and how it works now
When I started, every design began by hand. I drew ideas, then cleaned them up on the computer. A single project could take days, and a full brand could take weeks.
I quickly found out that I was the bottleneck. There was only so much I could physically produce, no matter how hard I worked, and that meant customers waited.
In the last few years, AI tools have solved that. They’ve opened up another opportunity to help small businesses fast-track the process. What used to take me days or weeks now takes minutes, sometimes seconds.

Why I do this
Small businesses are the heart of the West Valley, and they deserve creative work as polished as any big company’s. I started Lui Designs because too many owners were stuck without a good option. With 25+ years of experience and today’s tools, I can finally give them one that’s fast, affordable, and personal.
What I do
Logos and full brand identity, custom WordPress websites, and design for vehicle wraps, yard signs, and storefront graphics. Newer to the lineup are one-on-one AI Opportunity Sessions and AI chatbot setup for small businesses figuring out where AI actually fits.

Based in Surprise, AZ and serving the West Valley: Surprise, Peoria, Glendale, El Mirage, Waddell, Sun City, Sun City West, and Litchfield Park. Design work is available nationwide.
